DME Patient Service Technician

Description of Responsibilities
Responsible for the delivery, set-up, pick-up, cleaning and maintenance of HME equipment; maintenance of vehicles; inventory management; lot number tracking; and product recalls.

Patient Service Manager
Scope of Supervision
1.Deliver HME equipment to client's home or facility.
2.Demonstrate and explain HME equipment in the client home or facility and do appropriate documentation.
3.Maintain good relations with clients.
4.Pick up and clean equipment as required.
5.Perform light maintenance on van.
6.Maintain mileage/vehicle check log.
7.Maintain equipment tracking and lot number tracking for oxygen and solutions.
8.Maintain equipment maintenance per manufacture guidelines.
9.Maintain HME delivery records.
10.Assist in resolving client equipment problems when appropriate.
11.Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with Carolina's Home Medical Equipment, Inc. policy.
12.Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with Carolina's Home Medical Equipment, Inc. policy.
13.Forwards client complaints to Patient Service Manager
14.Participate in PI Plan as appropriate.
15.Participate in continuing education programs.
16.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1.High school graduate or equivalent
2.Valid Drivers License.
3.One-year home medical equipment experience preferred.

2.The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
3.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
