Responsibilities:
JOB
Summary:
Ensure that production process outputs are conforming to Berry Global specifications and meet our customer's expectations.
Responsibilities include performing line quality audits, product visual checks, product characteristics testing, data entry of statistical significance, and record keeping.
Essential Functions:
Follows all Company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance.
Performs duties in a safe manner and reports all observed safety hazards to management.
Acts as a role model for Safety on shift.
Participates in safety programs by reporting Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts and Close Calls; enters Near Miss data and observations into Global Data Center database (GDC) Perform Line Quality Audits ensuring processes/procedures are followed and product complies with company quality standards resulting in customer satisfaction.
Verifies that all inspection sheets, testing and line conditions are complete and being done on a consistent basis.
Check production lines conditions/settings are setup for the delivery of quality products.
Perform first piece inspection right after start-up has finished (first pallet of material deemed good by the operator).
Perform visual inspection for the products being produced.
Pick-up, inspect and file product retains.
Test in process, finished, returned and development products ensuring that Berry specs/ and Customer requirements are met.
Communicate to Production Operator/Foreman/Quality Lead/ Production Supervisor when materials being run are not conforming to Berry Specifications or do not meet customer's requirements.
Escalate to QA Manager or Production Manager if the non-conformances are not addressed.
Place Nonconforming materials on hold filling Nonconformance Reports in the system (JDE/C-Pro).
Reporting as appropriate and documenting all material's transactions.
Follow up that no on hold incidences are older than 5 days.
Except when material that is awaiting production for Rework Support the ISO 9001 program.
Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager, Supervisor or Quality Tech Lead.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 6 months as a production packer or quality inspector Knowledge in performing quality testing on product Ability to operate office equipment and PC Ability to train new employees Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments Ability to wear all required PPE (steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other PPE as required) Ability to lift up to 65lbs Ability to read and understand work orders Knowledge in navigating different computer programs Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with other employees Language skills:
Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, checklists, and correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate and explain information in one-on-one and in small group situations.
Mathematical skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Reasoning skills:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
